Taal Volcano in Batangas experienced a short-lived phreatomagmatic eruption on June 6, 2026, the third eruptive event recorded that month. The eruption lasted approximately one minute and produced a plume of smoke about 100 meters high. Previous eruptions occurred on June 5 (300-meter plume) and June 4 (900-meter plume). In May, phreatic eruptions were recorded on May 8 and 16.
