Three new cases of Mpox have been reported on Réunion Island in the last two weeks, two of which were locally acquired. The total number of cases identified on the island since the beginning of the year is 15, of which 10 were imported from Madagascar and 5 were locally acquired.
Local transmission chains have been established, although at a low intensity, due to regular air links with Madagascar. A vaccination campaign targeting high-risk groups has been implemented.
