The Maldives reported 20 new cases of measles in the week leading up to July 28, 2026. Since the beginning of 2026, a total of 186 confirmed cases have been reported, with 3 cases between January and April, and 183 between May and July.
The cases are concentrated in the Malé metropolitan area. More than 12,000 people have been vaccinated in response to the outbreak.
