Seville leads with 44 municipalities at risk, followed by Cádiz (18), Huelva (15), and Córdoba (13). Eastern Andalusia has a lower incidence, with Málaga (9), Jaén (8), Almería (6), and Granada (4). Despite active surveillance and 544 checks carried out by 400 Public Health agents in 130 municipalities, no virus circulation has been detected in the autonomous community, nor have any cases been found in humans. Laboratory tests on 134 patients and screenings of blood donors have all come back negative.

No cases have been detected in wild birds or equines either. Moderate increases in mosquito densities have been recorded in Fuente de Piedra, Villamanrique de la Condesa, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, and Motril. Entomological surveillance has been intensified with 73 active traps.
