During the week of 09/06/2026, Auckland recorded high hospitalization rates for influenza and other severe acute respiratory infections (SARI). 52.1% of patients with SARI tested positive for influenza, mainly H3. 18 outbreaks were reported in residential facilities, childcare centers, and schools. Children aged 0-4 years were the most affected. Red alert for Influenza A remains in effect.
