The cumulative number of confirmed Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has reached 7,200 in seven affected provinces. Of these, 923 patients are in isolation or hospitalized. There have been 3,475 deaths and 1,712 recoveries. The overall fatality rate is 48.3%. The epidemic peaked in the third week of August 2026, with a downward trend. 20 additional recoveries have been reported in the last 24 hours.
