Senegal has registered 57 confirmed cases of diphtheria and eight deaths since August 1, 2026. The Kédougou region leads with 27 cases, followed by Dakar and Thiès with seven each. Louga reports eight cases, Diourbel four, and Kaolack, Matam, and Kolda record two, one, and one case respectively.
