Cholera cases have been reported in Afghanistan, Myanmar, Pakistan, and Yemen.
Afghanistan reported 16,577 new cases and 12 deaths as of June 15, bringing its cumulative total to 56,662 cases and 28 deaths in 2016. Myanmar reported 106 new cases on June 15, for a cumulative total of 257. Pakistan reported 701 new cases on May 18, for a cumulative total of 3,305 cases. Yemen reported 696 new cases and one death on June 8, bringing its cumulative total to 5,054 cases and seven deaths.
In Taiwan, one locally acquired case was detected in a woman over 70 years old, who recovered and was discharged.
