Pertussis cases among children under 14 have doubled in the East Kazakhstan region.
As of July 29, 32 cases had been confirmed: 28 in Oskemen and 4 in the Ulan district. Most of those affected were unvaccinated, raising concerns among health authorities. The cases are primarily distributed among infants under one year old (14 infections) and children aged one to five (17 cases).
