Austria has confirmed its first case of Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) in a woman who returned from the Middle East. The patient is in stable condition and isolated in Vienna. The diagnosis was made by the Austrian Agency for Health Statistics (AGES) and confirmed by the Bernhard Nocht Institute in Germany. It is considered an imported case, with a low risk of secondary transmission in Vienna.
