Afganistán ha registrado dos nuevos casos de poliovirus salvaje, elevando el total a 25 este año.
Los casos se detectaron en Helmand y Nuristán. Afganistán y Pakistán son los únicos países con transmisión activa de poliovirus salvaje. Pakistán ha reportado 4 casos este año.
Se han detectado 76 muestras ambientales positivas en Afganistán y 128 en Pakistán.
